Internet fax v/s fax software:which best?

Internet fax service is an online service which allows you to send and receive faxes as email attachment via the internet. On the other hand, fax software requires a PC, a fax modem and a phone line to work. Both internet fax service and fax software have some advantages over the use of fax machine. Back then when internet access was not so popular, fax software was a useful tool to send and receive faxes using a PC. But nowadays, many home users, small businesses and large corporations are switching to internet fax service because it is not only more convenient and economical to use, it also looks professional to the customers. Both internet fax service and fax software are easy to use and set up; and they do not require the investment of a fax machine. Faxes are sent, received and stored in your PC. There is no need for machine maintenance, no paper jam problem, no misplaced fax documents, and thepaper and cartridge cost can also be reduced. The main advantage of internet fax service over traditional fax software is its convenience and mobility. Internet fax service allows you to send and receive faxes from anywhere with internet access, even in your handheld device. Youdo not need to leave your fax modem and PC on in order to receive faxes. There is no need foran additional phone line. You will not get a busy signal and you will never miss a fax. Another advantage of internet fax service is that it helps your company image by providing professional service to your customers. Unlike fax software and fax modem, which is often used by homes andsmall businesses, internet fax service is good for businesses of all sizes. You can get a free fax number or a toll free number at very low cost in more than 2000 cities around the world. Your clients can fax you for free and you are either charged with a verylow rate or at no extra cost at all. Some internet fax companies evenallow you to send faxes to global destinations for free. This versatility is extremely useful for small to medium or even large corporations. Even when your office is located in the U.S., you can set up a toll free or local number in Tokyo and your Japanese clients can fax you for free. The faxes are then routed to your email address. Similarly, you can also send them faxes as email attachments by simply typing theirfax number in the TO: line of an email message. Price and packageare the prime concerns when shopping for internet fax service. Do the companies provide free local fax number? How much doesa toll free number cost? How many pages of free incoming and outgoing faxes are included in themonthly fee? Do they provide free wireless access? Do they have enough coverage and provide a local fax number in your area of interest? What about the reputation of the companies? Do they provide free trial? In summary, internet fax service is a useful tool for homes and businesses of all sizes. If you would like to have the convenience of sending and receiving faxes anytime anywhere , consider the internet fax service. You will see how internet fax works much better than fax software or a fax machine.

Best tools that protect family from pornography

There is nothing more heartbreaking than to see your child struggling with problems such as pornography. In 1986 it was found that 1 in 5 boys and 1 in 10 girls are exposed to pornography by age 12. Pornography has done nothing but expand since then, and today it is even clearer that more needs to be done to protect our childrenfrom the devastating consequences of pornography. Interact! - Of all the ways to protect your child, interaction could be the most important key. Let your child know what is inappropriate, and make sure they know that if they make a mistake and see something they know they should not have, you are a safe person to tell. Try to keep all communications open. Ask them to explain to you how to work the computer, how to open an instant messenger or email account, use Google or other search engines, or shop online. You will be surprised how much they know! Ask them what their favorite videos and websites are, and keep your eyes open. Even if your children are not using pornography, there are often veryeasy ways to get to pornographic sites through the websites they are visiting. Explain to them the danger in this and why it might be best for them not to visit the site any more. Accountability - Keep the computer in a busy area of the house or in a dark corner of your kids room is probably not the bestidea. Try near the kitchen, in the family room, or some where else where lots of people are. Do not let your kids on the internet when you are not home or when there is not some one to supervise them. Keep a log of what sites they access. Since this can be difficult, especially if you need to leave them home alone because of your job, try using a parental control software program to log their tracks. Stay Sane - Sometimes, the more you hide and restrict something, the more tempting it is. Obviously, this does not mean you should give them pornography to keep it from being forbidden fruit, but letthem know why you are restricting it. Remember, you are training them to protect them for a lifetime. Do not make it something that they will search out as soon as they areout of the house. In the same way, naivety can put them in danger just as much as much as knowing too much can. Teach them to recognize what makes a bad site, and teach them the proper way to handle it. Limit their internet time - Keep internet time down to a minimum.Use it for school and an hour or so for play, but after that, involve your children in other areas of life.Play outside, help cook dinner, or simply read great books together. The less time they need to spend surfing the web, the safer they will be. Use a parental control software program - There are many ways to protect your children without needing software. Some of the best are listed above. However, time constraints or the need for absolute peace of mind could leadto a decision to buy a software program. There are many excellent programs out there, but after working with thousands of people struggling with pornography. I have found that SafeEyes, Bsafeonline , and NetNanny are among the best.

Why computer software is important in our life?

While just about everyone uses a computer in some way, shape or form on a daily basis, there are relatively few people who understand how vitally important computer software is to the usefulness and functionality of even simple devices. From very basic items such as a digital watch, to handy innovations in cell phones, to the grand super computing behemoths that manage things such as space shuttle launches, none of these machines could function without the programming that gives them life. Essentially all programs and applications for computers are a set of instructions designed to create particular outcomes. A computer program is a collection of these instructions that have a common purpose. A collection of related programs to carry out coordinated computing tasks is referred to as a package. One great example of a package of software programs would be an application that handles accounting related tasks. Such a package would have a number of modules, or independent programs, that function together to comprise a complete package. For instance, the accounting package might contain a bookkeeping program, an audit program, a data base management program, a tax preparation program, a time tracking and billing program or any number of other related programs. In many cases each of these kinds of accounting programs could stand alone, but they become much more powerful when they operate together as a complete package. These kinds of packages that contain various modules, or programs, have become very popular because the data is shared between the various programs. This reduces the need to re-enter data and eliminates tasks of exporting and importing information from one program to the other. This not only saves timebut it also significantly reduces the possibility of errors, because even when data is not re-keyed there are numerous possibilities for data to become corrupt when going through exporting and importing functions. All computers operate with what is known as system software, or the operating system. This programming provides the very basic instructions for how the computer interacts with the user and how the various programs and packages operate. Windows is the most commonly used personal computer operating system, with the Macintosh OS X operating system being the next most common system. Other operating systems include Linux and Unix, which are often used in more high-end computing situations. If you have computer work that needs to be done, then there are at least three components in play. The hardware is the first component which is actually whatmost people think of when talkingabout computers. The hardware includes the "box," the monitor, the keyboard, the mouse and any other physical components. The operating system software is the second of the three components. Which operating system that runs on your computer will have a great deal todo with which programs you are able to operate and also will makea difference in how easy or difficult it is to use the computer overall. While Windows computersare more prevalent, many people say that the Macintosh computers are more user friendly because of the operating system. The final of the three componentsof any computerized task is the specific software program that has been written to handle the required work. This relates back to the accounting program example which provided the specific functions related to the accounting tasks that needed to be done. Without these specific applications, a computer alone, even with a good operating system, will not provide many solutions or much functionality.
